HTML5 JavaScript provides a way to adjust the degree of transparency of an image drawn on a canvas element. Standard JavaScript provides functions for timed events as well as a mechanism for forcing the reloading of a web page. In this article, I utilize these features to produce an application that shows a sequence of photographs fading in and out, with the whole cycle repeated after a set amount of time, with the feature to stop the fading in and out, at least temporarily before the whole cycle repeats.
